We went through the components list for the MPD ITS HIC/Stave assembly & test, and Dubna site was added in the Yaping prepared version. The table now is located in the JINR online space, and all authorized person can update the table directly. PLEASE update the DATE in same time on the top-left corner of each table for tracking.
Item 1: materials status
- 25 wafers of PAD chips available at Dubna, and 10 of them will sent to China for machine test and technicians/student training
- 37 not-working FPCs can be used for local training for all sites, and 15 of them will be sent to China. The above two materials is scheduled to be shipped to China in the end of this year.
- The 1st batch of 499 FPCs have been arrived at Dubna, and cleaning, soldering and testing will be performed at JINR, and certain equipment is under delivery to JINR to construct the full production line.
Item 2: documents
Cesar will share the documents about the stave assembly to China sits (already received)
Yaping will upload the HIC assembly & test manuals to the JINR disk space later (once I register an account)
Item 3: status/plan of the ALPIDE chips
Russian government is involving the ALPIDE production affairs. If we can not get the ALPIDE chips as planed from TowerJazz (via CERN). A South Korean company will be contacted to manufacture the ALPIDE chips as a plan B. It’s expected there would be a one-year delay.
Item 4: tooling and jigs
Cesar will take charge of contacting with Stefania about the tooling/jigs request from China side:
1 set of HIC assembly & test tooling/jigs + 2 sets of stave assembly & test tooling/jigs
Item 5: shipping cost and resulting custom duties
The shipping cost and resulting custom duties are covered by Russian side is possible. Cesar will prepare a Collaboration agreement draft to make it practical.
Item 6: Try to assign a contact person for each site.
Item 7: Next assembly & test meeting will happen on 25 Nov. 2020 (starting at 9:30AM Moscow time, 2:30PM Beijing time, Wednesday) .
