Dear All, summarizing the meeting and follow-up discussions: - Dima: 1) (mandatory) stop using scintillator coincidence, all _preliminary_ plots to be done with a selected "best scintillator", the final plots - with the averaged time from all four of them 2) (low priority) checks T(best_scint)-T(scint&) vs time i.e. coincidence stability 3) all drift time distributions - to be plotted with best_scintillator time - to be plotted for the _normalized_ MM occupancy, otherwise the distributions make no sense 4) (high priority) search for the source of oscillations in MM and 20 mm straw and solving the 20 mm noise puzzle => lunch/dinner brainstorming during the weekend, to be agreed with Vitaly - Andrey: - would be nice to see a couple of time distributions for selected bins for all straws - why some irregularities are seen in sigma_t for some areas? (see telegram) - if we aim a publication, statistical analysis for RT unfolding to be started... then we need to compare NA64 straw data from 2023 and october 2022. === Very preliminary plan for the next week as discussed with Vitaly: === *** Setup/data analysis (mostly Vitaly, Dima): 1) oscillations / 20 mm noise to be solved. Seems first step here should be understanding the data + hit selection approach together with Dima 2) check what happened with the "missing" straws (see Dima's last slide) - first step to check very first days of data taking. 3) synchronization - to try Chiara's hints if works: 3a) - adding two new TIGERs (still not received) => profit - separation digital inputs from MM readout + data from Y MM 3b) to try to use the same external clock for both GEMROCs and Timepix 4) try ToT vs canonical ADC for reduced straw HV and compare results with simulation (TIGER in LTSpice is needed) 5) try to calibrate 8 digital inputs of TIGERs. If the calibration significantly differs with the approximate software approach => marmyshka for calibration is needed. 6) training for Vitaly and Katerina to use TIGER/Timepix DAQ by Dima *** pressure tests (mostly Kirill, Ismail, Katerina): - collect all necessary parts (flowmeters, pressure regulators, pressure sensors) - dry run without prototype *** Marmyshki (Vitaly): - Petiroc - Mu2e - new TIGER boards (Maxim is needed) ====
