The Directorate of the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics invites you to take part in the conference of FLNP young scientists and specialists. It will take place at the FLNP Conference Hall from December 4th to 6th, 2023.
The participants will present the results of their research within the grants for JINR young scientists and specialists in 2023. Moreover, one will be able to submit the applications for I.M. Frank and F.L. Shapiro Scholarships, as well as the grants of the JINR Association of Young Scientists and Specialists (AYSS) for the next year.
THE CONFERENCE'S WORKING LANGUAGES are English and Russian.
Applications are open until 23:59 on November 30, 2023.
I.M. FRANK and F.L. SHAPIRO SCHOLARSHIPS
The applications must contain a list of published articles during the last 5 years and an annotation in Russian (1-2 pages) reflecting your personal contribution to these works. The annotation must also indicate the section (area) of the competition for which the application is being submitted. The recommendation of the Head of the Group or Sector must also be attached to the documents.
Five I.M. Frank scholarships are awarded annually in the following areas of research:
- Condensed Matter Physics;
- Nuclear Physics;
- Methodological Investigations;
- Development of Basic Facilities.
Four F.L. Shapiro scholarships are awarded annually in the following areas of research:
- UCN physics;
- Polarized Neutrons;
- Neutron Spectroscopy;
- Condensed Matter Physics;
- Methodological Support of Experiments in Neutron Physics.
The scholarship is awarded for a period of one year. The age of the researcher should not exceed 35 years (as of December 31 of the current year). The scholarship amount and the number of scholarships for each area may be changed by the joint decision of the FLNP Directorate and the Jury. The scholarship is not awarded to the same person for two consecutive years.
AYSS GRANTS
FLNP young scientists, specialists, and employees up to 35 years old are invited to participate in the AYSS grant competition.
Important! If you want to participate in the grant competition, you must be registered on both websites, the FLNP Conference and the AYSS Grant Competition. Pay attention to the fact that the submission deadline set by the FLNP (November 30) has more priority than the AYSS deadline (December 3).
