Description

status: stating the fact that everyone is confused by the big volume of information.....

Farah Mahmoud:

  • That's a very good presentation. Well done.
  • next let's try to show quantitative characteristics by subsystems.

Alexandru Culicov:

  • awaiting new results

Oscar Vázquez Lara:

  • I can see you've done a substantial amount of work. That's commendable.
  • However, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the information has not been presented in the form of a presentation. Always try to present your material in a way that is most clear and accessible to the audience you are presenting it to.
  • You're moving in the right direction and maintaining a good pace. However, I would recommend that you don’t try to cover everything at once but focus on specific aspects, or one might say, proceed step by step. Allow me to remind you: we are searching for the best approaches to developing a portfolio of automation systems for a hypothetical experimental facility on a collider. Your focus is standardization. We've started from such a key point as the system's life cycles. We have been using standard 12207 as our reference, which as you've rightly noted, is focused on software. I was hoping that perhaps you could find something more apt for the automated systems within the ISA segment. Up to this point, I have not found clear answers on how to properly decompose the system – transitioning from the general to the specific. What are the criteria for subdividing into subsystems? I assumed that this information could be found within the ISO or ISA standards.
  • I would need some time to thoroughly examine all the material you've provided. But there's one thing we've already discussed: standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 are very generic. They are mainly intended for overall organizations, not for specific projects being implemented within these organizations. While these are useful documents, they're too broad, and I don't think we should focus on them considerably. We are engineers. Our goal is to find optimal ways to solve our engineering problems. Let's consider, for instance, the ISA-101 standard: it provides practical guidance on creating GUI HMIs, which is a sub-task in creating automated control systems. This factor doesn't depend much on whether our organization has ISO 9001 (which could, of course, improve work organization).
  • What's the next step? Please consider revising your latest material into a presentation format and make sure to incorporate the feedback I've provided previously.
  • IEEE 1220 - тоже очень общий стандарт. хотя и интересный.
  • ISO 13485 - медицина не наша область.
