JINR Launches a New Initiative to Support Innovations
The Institute announces a call for applications. Groups of young developers consisting of 3 to 10 members, including scientists, specialists, as well as postgraduate students and students from JINR Member States, are invited to participate in the Competition. The leader, as well as the majority of the team members, must not exceed 39 years of age at the time of application submission. The planning horizon in the application is up to 3 years.
This initiative aims to support R&D activities with high potential for implementation in industry, scientific instrumentation, and the social sphere aligning with the scientific and technological development priorities of JINR Member States. Additionally, the initiative aims to foster the Institute’s human resource potential and to enhance the efficiency of JINR’s scientific infrastructure and competencies use in international, inter-laboratory, and interdisciplinary developments.
The creation of innovative products (materials, devices, instruments, software, services, etc.) is the focus. The implementation of the application should contribute to increasing the Technology Readiness Level of the target product and creating conditions for the successful transfer of the developed technologies, including the involvement of industry partners and intellectual property protection.
Proposed innovative developments must align with one or more of the following areas: Radiation technologies; Accelerator technology; Equipment and technologies for medicine and laboratory diagnostics ; Information technology and artificial intelligence; Automation, robotics, and control systems in technical fields; Scientific instrumentation; Nuclear medicine; Ecology, sustainable development, and climate change; New materials; Chemical technologies; Biotechnology and food safety; Energy storage and future energy systems.

To submit an application, please follow these steps:
1️⃣ Ensure you have a valid JINR Indico account. If you do not have one, please create an account before proceeding.
2️⃣ Use the same email address that is associated with your JINR Indico account when registering for this event.
3️⃣ Wait for registration confirmation from the moderators (the confirmation will be sent to your email).
4️⃣ Read the Competition Rules ("Selection Procedure" document).
5️⃣ Complete the contest application form and send it to innocontest@jinr.ru to finalize your application.
