Some PWG1 tasks for the MC production
using the available event-generators
for a new MPD Physics Performance paper
The main topic of discussion is proposed to be the tasks for the MC production using some available event-generators like SMASH,? URQMD,? DCM-QGSM-SMM?, some else? -- in view of the preparation of the 1st Physics MPD Paper.
We will have to define conditions for precise selection of observables, in particular, in our case -- the pseudorapidity intervaks and the classes of centrality to be used by the collaboration in various physics analysis topics.
The 1st task is to define the conditions for MC simulations to compare with 9.2 GeV data by STAR&
Secondly, the following issues should be considered by the PWG1 in the MC simulations for the 1st Physics paper:
1) selection of the pseudorapidity range for the TPC multiplicity-based classes, (or for the mini-BeBe multiplicity-classes ?)
2) optimization of the centrality class-width in view of thr future analysis of fluctuation and correlation observables
3) the account of influence, of the wide distribution in Z of the interaction vertex position, on the selection of tracks in the TPC and on the given multiplicity class of events. Some possible bias on the PSD definition of centrality class.
4) available event-generators like SMASH, URQMD, DCM-QGSM-SMM, AMPT, …some else?
