-> The Chinese side agreed on the development of a Chinese version of ALPIDE-like MAPS with the Russian support.

Remarks:

- The development time would be of about 2 years.

- The tracking efficiency might be lower than CERN MAPS since they were produced by TowerJazz after tuning it for MAPS production and the Chinese foundry should be tested.

      => Q: What would it be an acceptable tracking efficiency on the context of the MPD experiment?

The participation from JINR initially would be:

- Financial support.

- Providing beam test capabilities.

-> The participation of Russia on the R&D of the Chinese large-area stitched chips is also welcomed.

 

It was agreed that within tomorrow (12/10/2022) updated information should be sent from the Chinese side about:

- The status of the GBTx ASIC development

- The current status of the development of the stitched MAPS.
