XV Collaboration Meeting of the MPD Experiment at NICA is organized in Dubna, Russia at the V.I.Veksler and A.M.Baldin LABORATORY OF HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research on April 15-17, 2025 either in person or remotely.
The meeting will present the current status and progress of the MPD project. It is planned to discuss the cooling of the superconducting magnet, production of the Phase-I detector subsystems, including electronics, cooling systems and infrastructure. The latest schedule of the NICA accelerator complex, the construction and commissioning of the MPD detector, and the plans for the first particle beams will also be presented. New ideas for the first year(s) of MPD operation will be presented and critically assessed. Further development of the computing infrastructure and software for operation, calibration and alignment of the detectors, as well as for physics analyses using simulated data and the first collected data sets will also be considered. The latest results of the physical feasibility studies and analysis methods will be summarized by the PWG conveners, followed by a series of general presentations from other heavy ion experiments.
