XIII Collaboration Meeting of the MPD Experiment at the NICA Facility is organized in Dubna, Russia at the V.I.Veksler and A.M.Baldin LABORATORY OF HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research on April 23-25, 2024 either in person or remotely.
Current status and progress of implementation of the MPD project will be presented. Situation with cooling of the superconducting magnet, production of the Phase-I detector subsystems including electronics, cooling systems and infrastructure will be discussed. Most recent schedule of the NICA accelerator complex, construction and commissioning of the MPD detector as well as plans for first beams will be provided. New ideas for MPD operation in the first year(s) will be presented and critically assessed. Further developments in computing and software infrastructure for operation, calibration and alignment of the detector subsystems as well as for the physical analyses with simulated and first collected data sets will be reviewed. Recent results of the physics feasibility studies and analysis techniques will be summarized by PWG conveners in the dedicated reports followed by a number of general talks from other heavy-ion experiments.
