Diploma Theses
Writing the thesis based on the topic realized during the internship is possible. As for 2021, more than 30 theses have been defended, or students who participated in the program are in the process of writing them.
The student can declare the will to write the thesis before coming for an internship (in the registration form), during the program, or after finishing it. In most cases, the topic supervisor becomes the thesis consultant and takes part in preparing the full text. The topic can be slightly modified in comparison with the project. However, we treat each thesis and each student individually. The team of supervisors is experienced with consulting and supervising diploma theses on various faculties of Warsaw University of Technology.
The exemplary topics of successfully defended thesis in previous years are:
- Analyzing thermal images taken by the Fluke TiS20 thermal imager,
- Fluke TiS20 thermal image analysis interface,
- Heat flow simulations for the MPD-TOF detector,
- Heat flow simulations for the MPD-TPC detector,
- Laser sensor for the position of the magnetic field sensor in the main magnet of the BM@N detector,
- Developing software for monitoring temperature inside the rack for the TOF-MPD detector control system,
- Temperature measurement system for electronic devices in PXI configuration for Slow Control system for TOF-MPD detector,
- Modeling femtoscopic K+K- correlations in p+Pb collisions using the Therminator2 model,
- and many more
