Useful information

General remarks:

  • Any COVID-19 regulations that you need to fulfill will be communicated before the arrival via email. However, being vaccinated is highly suggested. In 2021 the vaccine was mandatory for all participants of the TeFeNICA arriving in JINR.
  • The topics will be submitted on this website. Before arrival at JINR, you will know your topic and your supervisor. 
  • Your passport needs to be valid until at least 180 days after the date of return from the Russian Federation.
  • The preferred airport of departure and arrival is Sheremetyevo (SVO). The guarantee of transport from the airport to Dubna can be provided only for this airport. 
  • Each student will receive a daily allowance - an equivalence of about 25$ in rubles. 
  • The JINR provides the accommodation. In most cases, your accommodation will be the hotel. The hotel has a fridge in each room and a shared washing machine. However, in hotel rooms, there is no cutlery, cups, plates, etc.
  • It is preferred to bring your laptop. If it is not possible, mark it in the registration form.
  • Make sure that you follow our Instagram and Facebook page to be up to date with the newest information. You can also find there various images and highlighted stories showing our work and realized projects.

To complete Students Practice, the student has to:

  1. Register for the program
  2. Fulfill the required tasks under supervision.
  3. Prepare a lecture about the completed task (in English).
  4. Give a lecture during a final seminar (in English).
  5. Register to a NICA Days/Slow Control conference in Warsaw and give a lecture during the conference (in English).
  6. Prepare contribution (paper) for the NICA Days/Experiment Control System conference based on the completed task.

After fulfilling all the steps listed above, students will receive a certificate of completion.

There is a possibility to obtain a certificate with the form provided by your University, but keep in mind that it will only have the signature of the supervisor, not a stamp or signature of the Institute Director!
