Dear Participants
Please find some important information that will be useful for you during your visit to Dubna and Russian Federation in general.
- Transfer from the airport to Dubna
Kindly note that on 15th October you will be escorted from Sheremetyevo airport to hotel “Dubna” by JINR official transport; you will be amongst a group of other guests arriving on the same flight as you (SU233 arriving at 09:10 L.T.). Please look for Mr. Vladimir Rachkov (Contact mob: +7 909624 84 99); he will be holding “DUBNA” signage in the arriving hall and will further assist you and help with the currency exchange, after which you will be escorted to the transport.
• Immigration Slip
Upon your arrival to Sheremtyevo airport, you will be given an immigration slip. Kindly keep the slip with you and do not lose it until the day of your departure from the country.
- Registration
The registration will be held upon your arrival in the ”Dubna” hotel lobby, shortly after your check-in and lunch, at 14:30 L.T. The lunch will be held at the hotel restaurant located on the same floor as the lobby. The organizing committee will be waiting for you in the lobby around 14:30 to register and further hand you the access permit to JINR Laboratories and a badge with your name, and consult you regarding any questions you may have.
- Weather conditions 15-21st October
Due to sudden decrease in temperature in Moscow and Dubna during your visit; around 1-4 degrees Celsius at night and 5-10 degrees Celsius during the day (subject to weather changes), please be sure to bring suitable warm clothing: most importantly a jacket and an umbrella. All buildings: markets, JINR Laboratories, conference hall and the hotel are equipped with necessary heating systems; therefore, you will not need to wear heavy clothing indoors.
- Financial issues
If you wish to spend your money in Russia, please be aware that you will not be able to use your domestic nor international visa/mastercard cards, Paypal, Apple wallet anywhere inside the border of Russian Federation including the airport. You can only carry cash in US dollars or Euros and exchange them in our banks to Russian Rubles. We suggest you to exchange them in the airport upon arrival (amount of 100$ and maximum 200$ will be more than enough), as you will arrive on a holiday and all banks in the city will be closed. Please note that the banknotes must be clean, unscrambled and have no writings on them otherwise they will be rejected in the bank.

- Accommodation and basic amenities
During your stay in hotel “Dubna”, please be aware that breakfast (07:30-10:00), lunch (13:15-14:30) and dinner (at 18:30) is included during your stay for the days of conference (16-18 October). On the day of your arrival, October 15th, we will provide you a lunch, at 13:30, and a dinner at 18:30. On 16th October, a welcome reception/dinner will be held at 19:00 in the “Dubna” hotel restaurant. On the 19th October, the day of your departure from Dubna, a breakfast shall be provided as well. For those who extended their stay, only breakfast will be included during the whole stay in the hotel.
- Venue of the Workshop
The Workshop will be held in the International Meeting House in Dubna (141980, Moscow region, Dubna, 2 Stroiteley str.). It will take you ten minutes to walk from your hotel to the venue of the Workshop https://maps.app.goo.gl/doxnb3gLNGnp3yD96 .
- Buses to Laboratories
On the days of the workshop, upon completion of the sessions, excursions to JINR Laboratories are planned. Along with a member of the organizing committee, JINR bus will transfer you from the Workshop venue to the entrance of each JINR Laboratory to visit and explore each one of them, and then bring you back to the hotel.
