6. At place:

a) Since it may be cold on Baikal even in summer, we recommend taking a waterproof jacket, warm sweater, comfortable shoes for trekking (for the excursion). In addition, it would be better to take a bathing suit, repellents, and a big bath towel (only small ones will be provided on the spot).

b) Please note that there are no drugstores in the village! The organizers will have a first aid kit with basic mediсines, but you should take with you any special medications needed!

c) Entering the conference hall, where classes will be held, we take off the shoes, that’s why we recommend taking another pair of shoes for change (slippers/flip-flops).

d) You should take a spare bottle for water if you need drinking water throughout the day. There will be an opportunity to fill the bottle in the canteen.

e) The cell phone tower is the only source of the Internet in Bolshie Koty and there are only two cell phone operators: Tele2 and MTS. There will be a Wi-Fi access point in the conference-hall. However, please note that the cell phone tower has limited capabilities and the Internet connection is always slow. That's why we ask you not to plan to download any big files during the School.

f) Please note that Geant4 and ML hands-on sessions require the installation of additional heavy-weight software, which we advise you to install before coming to the School, as the internet connection is slow there.
