The 26th International Symposium Nuclear Electronics and Computing (NEC’2017)

The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, (JINR, Dubna, Russia) and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN, Geneva, Switzerland) organize the XXVI International Symposium on Nuclear Electronics and Computing (NEC'2017). It will be held in Budva, Becici, Montenegro on 25 September – 29 September, 2017.

The meeting will be held in a small town of Becici, in the Splendid Conference & SPA Resort Hotel, the largest conference venue in Montenegro.

  • Workload Management Systems in Applied Research and Big Data;
  • Non-relational Databases and Heterogeneous Repositories;
  • Innovative IT Education.
A participation of leading specialists in nuclear electronics and computing from Europe and the United States of America with reviews and topical lectures is planned. The symposium aims to stimulate the development and acceleration of researches, the improvement of their quality and visibility of results, to promote cooperation and exchange of ideas in the area of nuclear electronics and computing and related domains for the purposes of physical research and the more close cooperation between JINR and CERN. An important task of the symposium is to encourage participation in the symposium of a number of young specialists from JINR and CERN Member States. Concurrently with the symposium it is also  organize an international school on information technologies for students and postgraduates (

The presentations will include:
  • plenary talks (30 minutes)
  • selected contributed reports (20 minutes)
Registration and submitting of abstracts

Registration can be done online through the Registration.

The book of abstracts is planned to be published by the beginning of the Symposium. 
Submission of abstracts can be done online through the Abstract Submission.
Abstract should include the title, the names of authors and their affiliation. Abstract text should be informative and reflect the main idea of the authors without methodological and technological details.
It will allow the referees to get an adequate view about the paper. The abstract should not contain formulas, references, bibliography and acronyms (if possible). 
The required volume of abstracts is 150-200 words.


Proceedings will be published in a refereed online scientific journal. 
Perhaps, texts of regular papers will be submitted for post-conference publication in the European repository of the CEUR Workshop Proceedings
Also, it's possible a publication the some volume of post-proceedings from NEC'2017 in the printed peer-reviewed journal.

Organizers of the symposium propose accommodation for participants in hotels “Splendid Montenegro Conference & Spa Resort”***** and “Montenegro Beach Hotel”****. Rooms can be booked at special rates for the conference, given by “Montenegro Stars Hotels Group” (available during registration at website of the symposium). Number of proposals for rooms is limited.

Prices are for one night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included (Full Board (FB)). Food for choice, served as buffet table in both hotels for all participants of the symposium.

Accommodation in both hotels in accordance with the specified conditions is possible in the period from 24 September to 1 October 2017.

For getting to the conference it is possible use 2 airports, in Tivat (25km from Budva, Becici) and Podgorica (75km from Budva, Becici).

For transportation from airport of Tivat and airport of Podgorica it is possible to order taxi of local companies.

Attention! The guarantee of your participation in the conference for the corresponding price is the fact payment of the registration fee in the certain timeline (see the table above).

The conference fee for children under 12 (2 - 12 years) that covers Welcome Party, Conference Dinner and social activities, is 50% of the registration fee for accompanying person.
