Minutes of the ‘Encounter of the Russian branch of the MPD-ITS project’. 6-7 Feb. 2020, JINR, Dubna.
Feb 6:
- Professor Valery Kondratev presented the results of the simulations for decays reconstruction of strange and charmed particles using the MPD-ITS detector.
- It was agreed that these result would be shortly sent for publication.
Feb. 7(Round Table):
Project organization and Management. It was agreed that:
- Deputy convener for WP1: ‘Simulations’ should be a specialist from China.
- WP 5: ‘Mechanics and Cooling’ should be split into two different WPs: ‘Mechanics and Cooling Design’ & ‘Mechanics and Cooling Production’. For the latter, the convener yet to be decided.
- Add a new WP: ‘Services’. The convener yet to be decided.
- The new structure will be circulated among the participants of the meeting by Moday, 10thof February. (Responsible: Сésar Ceballos).
- Participants from SPbSU and MSU will analyze project structure and submit their suggestions in three weeks from now. (By 28thof February)
TDR.It was agreed that:
- The TDR will be written in English. Final document to be finished by September 2020.
- Section: ‘Supporting mechanics and cooling’ will be split into two sections: ‘Supporting mechanics’ and ‘Supporting cooling’. On both cases simulation results and material budget considerations should be included.
- Section 7.2 'The ALICE ITS2 first tracker …' will be moved to the ‘Introduction’ chapter.
- Add a section to Chapter 5 ‘DAQ system’ about ‘Integration of the ITS DAQ into the MPD DAQ’.
- The reviewed ‘Table of Contents’ of the TDR will be circulated to the whole MPD collaboration with an invitation to contribute to it, according to each group expertise. (Responsible: Yuri Murin)
- The deadline for the rest of the collaboration for contributing to the MPD-ITS TDR was set to 3 month from the moment of the call.
- A TDR task force was established in order to coordinate the production of the document. Members: Valery Kondratiev (SPbSU), Grigory Feofilov (SPbSU), Mijail Merkin (MSU), César Ceballos (JINR), Sergey Igolkin (SPbSU) – Consultant, Added later: Anatoly Kolozhvary (JINR), Oleg Kozlov (JINR), Irina Semenova (JINR).
MPD-ITS TDR task force (TF) short term agenda:
- Feb. 20: A reminder mail will be circulated about the preparation of the documents (for March 02) with the existing (already written) information that might be used for the document. (Responsible: César Ceballos)
- March 02: The existing documentation should be circulated among all TF members. (Responsible: TF Members). A reminder mail will be sent about the next TF meeting to be held on March 11; time and meeting Indico site will be included (Responsible: César Ceballos).
- March 11. Task force video-meeting to set the status of the TDR document and planning the actions to take for the ‘in-person’ meeting on April.
- April: Task force meeting on the frame of the ‘MPD Collaboration meeting’.
