Description
The TPC barrel is placed in the middle of a Multi-Purpose Detector and provides tracing and identifying of charged particles in the pseudorapidity range │η│≤ 1.2.
Tracks in the TPC are registered by 24 readout chambers placed at both end-caps of the sensitive volume of the barrel. The readout system of one chamber consists of the front-end card (FEC) set and a readout control unit (RCU). FECs collects signals directly from the registration chamber pads, amplifies them, digitizes, processes and transfers it to the RCU.
To ensure good reconstruction of all tracks, the 95232 electronic channels must meet strong requirements: the signal to noise ratio – 30, the equivalent noise charge < 1000 e-, power consumption less than 100 mW per channel.
