Description

The Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research organizes the International School "Nuclear Theory and Astrophysical Applications" (NTAA 24). The school will be held at Dubna, Moscow Region, Russia, on February 11–17, 2024.

The School will be devoted to problems of theoretical nuclear physics and their astrophysical applications. The following topics will be included:

  • nuclear structure studies
  • fusion and multinucleon transfer reactions
  • nuclear reactions of astrophysical interest
  • novel approaches to nuclear fission
  • neutrino interactions with nuclei / nuclear matter and supernovae
  • cluster approaches to features in nuclei

The School will be held at the Conference hall of the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. February 11 is the arrival and registration day, Febrary 17 is the departure day.

Working languages are English and Russian.

The hotel cost (including breakfast), coffee breaks, and social events are covered by the Organizing Committee. There will be limited funds for travel support.

Persons wishing to participate are kindly requested to register via the NTAA 24 website until January 15, 2024. Number of participants is limited, so prompt submission of application is encouraged. Participation in the School only by invitation of the Organizing Committee.
